Employee of the Month
Susan Head, Duplicating and Mail Coordinator
January 2003

Duplicating and Mail Coordinator Susan Head is one of those behind the scenes employees who always wears a smile and never says "can't."
Earlier this month, she was honored as the Employee of the Month.
"People like Sue are the back bone of the hospital," said her supervisor, Medical Records Director Dave Stanley. "Her work day consists of sorting and delivering all the hospital's mail and processing endless copy projects. There are also daily runs to the post office and the storage area in Yucaipa."
Dave explained that she accepted her position during a time of difficult transition, when all 26 Xerox machines were switched to new Cannon copiers. She had to learn how to operate the new machines overnight.
Since the September 11 tragedy, she has demonstrated courage at the forefront of the anthrax scare. She screened envelopes at the post office dock with rubber gloves, a mask and gown on.
Customer service has always been her focus. She handles each request with courtesy and a timely response even if it means staying late to complete the job.
"All the employees I have talked with speak very highly of Sue and her willingness to go the extra mile to help someone. We are very proud of her effort and her example to the rest of the staff," said Dave. |
