Employee of the Month October 2003

House Supervisor Richard Parenteau always has a smile on his face and a great attitude as he walks around the hospital.

This, combined with his ability to promote new systems and improve patient care, was the main reason he was chosen as the Employee of the Month.

"Richard is very organized and thorough. He is constantly thinking of new ways to improve the flow of patients in our system," said RCH President Jim Holmes. "He interacts with every department including the Cath Lab, Surgery, Radiology, Wound Care, Emergency Services, Nursing, as well as with physicians, patients and their families. Richard communicates the plan for patient movement and care to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Nursing Administration is proud to have Richard as part of the team."

"His strong clinical skills also allow him to help nurses whenever the need arises," Jim Holmes said. "He has a great understanding of the hospital and staff needs and shows genuine care for all."

Richard has been with RCH since September 10, 2001. He previously worked at Glendale Adventist Hospital.
