Employee of the Month May 2004

Sheila Camato Hunt, LVN, was named the May 2004 Employee of the Month for her hard work and caring nature.

"Sheila is the type of nurse that Alice Raumin would be very proud of," said Shirley Buchanan-Skeen at a celebration held in Sheila's honor earlier this month. "Sheila never complains, never gets upset and never raises her voice, and I totally respect her for that."

While many nominations come from employee peers such as other nurses, unit secretaries and other staff positions, Sheila was nominated by one of the hospital's physicians -- Dr. Raymond Kwa. His nomination was overwhelmingly supported by her co-workers.

"Within a short time of her arriving here, the staff has learned that we cannot live without her," said Gillian Doxzon.

Sheila was hired in March of 2002. She anticipates enrolling into an R.N. program in September.

"I really enjoy working here," Sheila said. She noted that she hopes to work at RCH after she becomes an R.N.
