Employee of the Month January 2005

Eliane Marks, the PM Charge Nurse in Surgery, has been chosen as the January Employee of the Month. The honor came after the STAR Committee received 26 nominations for Eliane.

Dr. Brockman, staff anesthesiologist, said in his nomination, "I believe Eliane deserves this award for many reasons. She is in charge of the most difficult shift in the operating room and does it with cheerfulness and professionalism."

OR Technician Rebecca Cade wrote, "She is very kind and treats every employee as an equal."

Cecelia Samet, an RN in PACU said, "Eliane is a great asset to the department of surgery. She continuously gives 110%. Many times, she has pitched in and helped in the PACU. She is dynamic and a great pleasure to work with.

Eliane's Employee of the Month celebration was held on her fifth anniversary at the hospital . . . January 4.
