Joaquin Pinto

Spend any time with Joaquin Pinto, and it is easy to see compassion radiates from every pore in his body.

"I had the pleasure of taking Joaquin’s picture prior to the recognition ceremony," said Nikyah Pfeiffer, Public Relations Assistant. "I went to his department to take the photo and had to wait until he finished helping a patient. While waiting, I happened to notice how gentle and caring he was with the patient, and how thoughtful he was when tending to the patient’s needs. He is one of many employees here that make this hospital so unique and special."

Joaquin has been a Certified Nurses Assistant on 4100 for two years. He is credited for delivering a cheerful mood to the unit every time he works. He is also the type of person who will come to a person’s assistance without hesitation, even if he does not know the person.

Roberta Harbison, a Clinical Educator, said that Joaquin needs to be recognized for Employee of the Month. "One day, a registry nurse paid me a visit to pay a compliment about Joaquin. She said that she was in line to pay at the cafeteria," said Roberta. "She realized she didn’t have enough money to pay for her food. Joaquin did not know her but gave her the money she needed. Joaquin is so giving and sensitive to others. This honor is the least he deserves."
