Redlands Community Hospital launches local TV program to discuss key health matters

REDLANDS, CA - Local health experts are asking residents to turn on, tune in and get healthier. To help educate the community about important health matters, Redlands Community Hospital is partnering with the award-winning American Health Journal to produce and air a series of local television programs about medical issues.

The American Health Journal has been a popular television program airing on various local TV stations throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Redlands Community Hospital’s program will air Wednesdays at 6 p.m. on KVCR and KOCE. The nationally-known show has earned numerous National Telly Awards for health care reporting excellence.

On December 13, Dr. Steven Beutler, an infectious disease specialist at Redlands Community Hospital, will be the featured guest. He will discuss the latest developments in influenza and bacterial infections as well as discuss the proper use of antibiotics.
"The show furthers our mission to educate the community about key health issues," said Jim Holmes, president and CEO for Redlands Community Hospital. "Television is a great medium to bring basic medical knowledge into the homes of our residents."

The American Health Journal is a 30-minute program conducted in a question and answer format. The hospital plans to showcase various medical subjects and will produce 18 different segments.
