Ultrasound

 

When Ultrasound is mentioned, most people think of images of pregnancy. Ultrasound does a great job with fetal images, but it is only a small part of their function. For example, echocardiology uses ultrasound waves to evaluate the heart. The blood system, breast, thyroid, and other internal organs also can all be evaluated using ultrasound.
