Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and according to established
procedure, performs routine service duties and basic patient/resident
care procedures necessary to provide comfort and safety of patients. In
doing so, takes vital signs, assists patients with personal hygiene and
feeds and ambulates patients/residents. Maintains patient/resident environment
in a clean and orderly condition. This position is also responsible for
providing clerical support for the unit, transcribes physicians' orders,
schedules diagnostic tests and therapies for patients, assembles and maintains
patient’s charts, answers telephone and intercom calls, providing
routine, approved information, relays other calls and messages, and maintains
appropriate supplies and equipment levels.
Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
Clerical experience, computer knowledge and completion of a medical terminology
Current CPR certification required.
One year experience in an Acute hospital setting preferred.
