The Redlands Community Hospital Education Department offers a multitude of educational opportunities, including hands-on in-person training, remote eLearning, and staff development advancements. Through a tradition of excellence and in alignment with our mission of providing high quality care, the education department provides instruction focused on lifelong learning and application into practice aimed at improving patient outcomes. By promoting culturally sensitive, high quality, evidence-based and innovate learning, clinicians are encouraged to stay at the forefront of clinical advances and elevate their practice.
Our RCH Clinical Staff Educators are an invaluable resource to staff. They provide training, mentorship, and in-service opportunities for staff. They provide guidance on research projects and national certification. They oversee the new graduate program for newly registered RNs entering the nursing profession.
Our education team includes:
Our classes are curated to grow and maintain the knowledge of our staff. Below are a few types of classes we offer to create a safe and informed environment for staff to apply their skills.
American Heart Association Certification
Each month we offer AHA training courses which may include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, so staff can maintain certification and refresh their knowledge and skills
New to Specialty Training Opportunities
Staff have the opportunity to grow and advance their skillset by training in other specialties. For example, an ED nurse can learn how to work in the OR as a surgical RN. A medical surgical nurse can learn how to work in our post-partum unit.
Preceptorship Training
Preceptorship training includes navigating relationships between peers as a leader, trainer, and mentor to new hires and coworkers alike. This training is built on providing staff the opportunity to grow in their careers and train new nurses to be successful.
Management of Assaultive Behavior
Safety comes first at Redlands Community Hospital. Our MAB class is SB-1299 and AB-508 approved. It is designed to ensure employees are approaching each situation as safely as possible.
