SUPERVISOR

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager, the Lead is expected to perform a variety of food service and retail related duties in a safe manner. The Supervisor must oversee the food service operation food quality, cost effectiveness, sanitation and labor management. Supervisor functions must be completed in accordance with all the standards, policies and procedures applicable to Redlands Community Hospital. The Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and adhering to all HACCP guidelines and cash handling procedures and policies. This position must provide feedback to employees on performance, train employees on procedures and expectations, provide excellent customer service to employees and department customers and intervene to resolve issues immediately when necessary.

AGE SPECIFIC: Patient care employees must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups--must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development through the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's needs in relation to age and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.

This position possesses the ability to obtain and interpret information considering age specific needs for the following age groups:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School Education or Equivalent, college coursework in related field(s) preferred.
  2. Food Production, Cashiering, Retail/Marketing, and Customer Service Experience preferred.
  3. ServSafe Certificate required.
  4. Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
  5. Knowledge of basic math required.

Standard precautions are utilized for the care of all patients. Category I and Category II employees are eligible for Hepatitis B vaccination at no cost to the employee.
