Event Overview
The Orthopaedic Nursing Review Course is a one-day, live streamed, virtual review course on Saturday, January 14, for nurses seeking certification. Learners may use this course as an excellent final review before taking the Orthopaedic Nursing Certification Exam (ONC) or as an enhancement to their orthopaedic knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
RCH Clinicians: No-cost
Non-RCH Clinicians: $99
Susan T. Barnett, MSN, RN, ONC
Susan is a seasoned orthopaedic nurse, spending the majority of her career in the surgical arena. Additional experience with teaching peers, patients and nursing students has prepared her well for this session today. Susan has been instrumental in writing, reviewing, and presenting the ONRC for many years, and is always excited to continue the learning journey with others. Her interactive style hinges on principles of adult education and retention of information through repetition and muscle memory. So, be prepared for a great day learning and refreshing many elements of orthopaedic diseases and nursing care.
The course is a one-day event offering 7.50 contact hours for each participant who attends the entire course. These contact hours are Category A as designated by the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board. The National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses (NAON) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation (ANCC-COA). In order for attendees to receive their contact hour certificate, they must be present for the full course.
