Redlands Community Hospital Receives Accreditation From the College of American Pathologists

Redlands, CA. (September 23, 2026) – Redlands Community Hospital (RCH) been awarded accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), one of the world’s leading accreditations in medical laboratory quality. The achievement reflects the hospital’s commitment to applying international standards in testing accuracy, patient safety, and the quality of healthcare services.

The accreditation confirms laboratory adherence to best practices by strengthening the reliability of test results, reducing errors, and implementing rigorous procedures across all stages of examination, from sample reception to the issuance of results, alongside continuous development of quality systems and training.

During the CAP accreditation process inspectors examined the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures during an onsite visit. CAP inspectors also examined laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record, and overall management. These reviews help verify activities and reflect industry best practices.
