Cardiac Care & Rehabilitation

The Redlands Community Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation program is a division of the hospital’s Physical Medicine Department. This department assists people with post myocardial infarction (heart attack), bypass, angioplasty or unstable angina and individuals at risk for heart disease to achieve the maximum level of functional daily activities.

Upon referral from a physician responsible for the patient's care, the patient is evaluated to determine what treatment would best suit the condition. Treatment is tailored to each individual patient and may include therapeutic exercises and the use of therapy equipment. The program also prepares patients to function on an independent or assisted level after the treatments are discontinued.
