Occupational Therapy
Redlands Community Hospital has a number of skilled therapists available
to help rehabilitate the inpatient adult who has suffered from a stroke,
injury, or other medical event that has impaired the use of their hands
and their ability to complete self-care tasks and activities of daily
living. They are also very active in the NICU providing our smallest patients
the building blocks that are needed for full attainment of functional
milestones during the early years of life.
Occupational Therapy also provides treatment on an outpatient basis from
the pediatric (6 months) to adult. The pediatric program focuses on feeding
issues, sensory integration, activity of daily living skills and group
therapy in conjunction with other rehabilitation professionals. Adult
patient services focus on hand therapy, outpatient stroke rehabilitation,
and retraining in activities of daily living.
