Application Process
Getting Started
To become a Redlands Community Hospital Volunteer:
We offer two volunteer programs, our Adult program and Junior program designed
for high school students ages 15-18. Both require a formal application,
successful in-person interview and a commitment to volunteer once per
week. Background check and/or references are also required depending on
program type. Applications may be completed online or in the Volunteer
Services office located on the first floor of the hospital. Selected applicants
will be contacted for a personal interview. Demonstrating a positive attitude
and professional demeanor in support of RCH’s “Patients First”
standards is essential for success in our programs.
Adult Program:
Adult Program recruitment is on-going and assignments require a 4-hour
shift each week. Availability is dependent upon organizational need matched
with volunteer interest. Volunteer roles are available both inside and
outside of the hospital, in support of patients/services or clerical in nature.

Junior Program:
Junior Program recruitment occurs two times per year (generally in the
Fall and Spring) according to hospital need. If selected, assigned shifts
are weekdays from 4-6 p.m., or morning or afternoon shifts throughout
the day on Saturdays or Sundays. Shifts are not more than 3 hours and
typically conclude by 6 p.m.
