Jan M. Opdyke ​Jan M. Opdyke - President

Jan Opdyke joined the Redlands Community Hospital Foundation as President in 2015 after serving for eight years as Senior Executive Director of Development at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). A graduate of UCLA who later earned MA degrees in Public Administration and Theological Studies, she brought to the position two decades of fundraising executive experience, including four years as Director of Development for the Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. As President of the Foundation, Jan is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hospital’s fundraising effort, including planned giving, the cultivation of grants, major gifts, capital campaigns, financial reporting and the annual Redlands Community Hospital Golf Classic. She and her staff are always delighted to answer questions and assist anyone with their philanthropic goals.​

Jan M. Forrester​Jan M. Forrester - Director of Development

Jan Forrester has served as Director of Development at Redlands Community Hospital since 2016. Jan is a graduate of the College of Mount Saint Joseph, where she earned a BA degree in Sociology. A longtime Redlands resident, she joined the hospital after working for eight years as Director of Student, Parent and Faculty Initiatives at the University of California, Riverside. As Director of Development, Jan manages the annual fund, coordinates grateful patient and seasonal appeals, supervises the annual employee campaign and solicits sponsorships for Foundation events.

Bengt M. Gustavsson​Bengt M. Gustavsson - Director of Major Giving

Bengt Gustavsson was raised in Southern California and he brings a range of experience to Redlands Community Hospital, where he has served previously as the Donor Relations Coordinator from 2017-2019, as the Director of Annual Giving from 2019-2021 and now currently as the Director of Major Giving. Prior to joining RCH Bengt served as a Patient-Access Representative at Walla Walla General Hospital in Washington state and as an active committee member for the hospital’s Philanthropy Department. A graduate in Business Administration and Management from Walla Walla University, he completed an MBA degree from Western Governors University in 2018. Bengt’s responsibilities include managing the Annual Fund, including planning and coordinating grateful patient and seasonal mailings, primary support to the Foundation President and Director of Development, management of day-to-day finances for the Foundation, and coordination of donor recognition and fundraising events.
