Behavioral Medicine Programs
The Behavioral Medicine Programs at RCH provide psychiatric services in
a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes physical, spiritual and
psychological health and wellness. Our physicians, nurses and other licensed
therapists offer the highest quality of care to those affected by mental
illness, eating disorders and mood or anxiety disorders.
The Behavioral Medicine Team consists of 14 semi-private rooms. The Behavioral
Medicine Team provides care in order for the patient to attain the highest
level of functioning prior to discharge. Services focus on support of
patient adaptation, restoration of health, and preservation of patients
rights, including the right to refuse treatment. Emphasis is placed on
maintaining the patient's spiritual, psychosocial, emotional and social
integrity. The patient's care includes the interaction and impact
of the patient's family and/or significant other(s).
The Behavioral Medicine Programs provide behavioral care for patients in
a safe, home-like setting supportive of the whole person.
