Childbirth Education
Congratulations! You're pregnant!
During childbirth classes you have an opportunity to learn about the growth
and development of your baby, how your body changes throughout pregnancy,
the importance and value of good nutrition, the benefits of breastfeeding
and problem-solving solutions for successful breastfeeding, and some possible
warning signs that need to be reported to your doctor. Classes are taught
by our trained and highly-skilled
Perinatal Services Registered Nurses.
All of the classes require advance registration.
Children are not permitted at the tours or education classes. Select the link to print out your
childbirth education registration form.
Advance registration is required for all classes. Please note that you
are not registered for the class until your payment information has been
successfully processed and you receive a confirmation. No cost for Medi-Cal
or IEHP. For any concerns regarding registration, please contact 909-793-6330.
To register for classes, you can Pay and Register over the phone by calling
our Perinatal Services Department at (909) 793-6330, or Mail your registration
form with payment to: Redlands Community Hospital, Perinatal Services,
Attn: Childbirth Education, P.O. Box 3391, Redlands CA 92374 or bring
your completed registration form and payment to the Perinatal Services
Office located at 802 W. Colton Avenue, Suite D, Redlands CA 92374. Our
Perinatal Services office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30
pm and is closed on weekends and holidays.

Classes are held at the
Weisser Education Pavillion at Redlands Community Hospital, 350 Terracina Blvd., Redlands CA 92373.
For all of the classes, please bring the following items with you to each class:
- Yoga Mat or Towel for breathing and relaxation exercises
- (Floor mats will not be provided)
Childbirth Preparation
The childbirth preparation courses prepare the pregnant women and family
for childbirth. Classes are designed to provide practical and useful tools
in preparation for childbirth, such as:
- What to expect throughout pregnancy
- What to expect during labor and delivery
- Breastfeeding education and problem-solving solutions for successful breastfeeding
- Tour of the hospital's mother-baby units
The Childbirth Preparation course is offered one Wednesday evenings every
week for three weeks, or as an accelerated course for a one day Saturday
class . Select the course that works best for you and your family.
A virtual tour of the mother-baby units is included with these classes
so there is no need to register for a separate hospital tour.

Childbirth Refresher
This class is designed for women who are experienced with childbirth or
for whom it has been a while since attending childbirth education. The
class will prepare the pregnant women and family for childbirth. The short
class is designed to provide practical and useful tools in preparation
for childbirth, such as:
- What to expect during labor and delivery
- Benefits of breastfeeding
Cost: $35

Breastfeeding Basics
This class is designed to provide an understanding of the benefits of breastfeeding
and provide basic tips for successful breastfeeding. This class is highly
recommended if you are a first time mom and want to successfully breastfeed
your baby.
